All are welcome, join us and unlock your inner potential.

Confidence Makers is a friendly Community Interest Company that helps people to grow in confidence through creative textiles and personal styling. Confidence Makers focuses on sustainability as the fashion / clothing industry already has a massive impact on the environment.

We meet at the fantastic CentrePeace in Paignton. CentrePeace strive to be a place where people can find warmth, friendship and support, whatever their age or socio-economic status. This has been, and always will be, at the core of their work.

Confidence makers also have a Facebook page, where people can read and post discussions, get support, and they can also contact me privately.

One of the courses is called Dress for Confidence which supports and empowers disadvantaged and vulnerable women living in Torbay by boosting their self-esteem, growing their confidence, and helping them to build relationships and support networks.

Past course members have subsequently gained employment or entered the voluntary sector, and they are now contributing to society and offering support to even more people.

These courses give each woman a set of tools to explore who she really is and build a mood board representing her as a person. I help women explore what the most flattering clothes cut is for their body shapes and the colours most suited to their complexions.

I also develop their skills on how to build a functional wardrobe on a budget. This is done through upcycling and adjusting what they already have.

The course is focused on disadvantaged women, typically on low income: single mums, unpaid carers, looking for/returning to work, in recovery from illness/addiction/mental health issues
